Product Owner / Product Project Manager — Internal Products

Umber.Tech is looking for a Product Owner / Product Project Manager to take ownership of our internal products and drive their development from ideas and user needs to real, usable solutions.

You will work with a portfolio of four internal products:

Meeting Notes — a tool for recording, transcribing and working with meeting context
ATS — an internal recruitment and candidate management platform
HRM — a people, projects and work management platform
Task Manager — a new product at the early development stage

This role is about more than maintaining a backlog. You will help define what should be built, why it matters, and what should happen next.

What you will do

Own the product backlog and development priorities
Collect and analyse feedback from internal users and stakeholders
Turn business needs and user problems into clear product requirements
Build and maintain product roadmaps
Plan and coordinate development work with engineers
Work closely with the CTO and development team
Define acceptance criteria and test new functionality before release
Identify usability issues and propose practical UX improvements
Track product risks and dependencies
Look for opportunities to use AI to improve products and internal processes

You will work with several products in parallel, with a shared development team and limited engineering capacity. This means the role requires strong prioritisation, ownership and the ability to make decisions independently.

What we are looking for

4+ years of experience in Product Ownership, Product Management, Project/Product Management or a closely related role
Experience working with IT products
Experience managing multiple products or product areas in parallel
Experience taking a product from 0 to 1 or significantly developing an existing product
Strong understanding of backlog management, prioritisation and roadmapping
Experience working directly with developers
Ability to understand user needs and translate them into product solutions
Good understanding of UX and product usability; ability to create simple wireframes or prototypes when needed
Hands-on experience with modern AI tools such as LLMs, Claude, MCP or similar
Strong communication, analytical and decision-making skills
High level of ownership, autonomy and proactivity
English — B2–C1

It will be a plus

Experience with B2B, SaaS or internal products
Experience in HR Tech, Recruiting Tech or similar products
Experience working in a small or growing product team
Understanding of APIs and basic technical concepts
Experience with GDPR and products handling personal data
